At Oryst, we collaborate with a network of artisans français carefully selected for their mastery of precision work. Their savoir-faire is expressed in every curve, every assembly, every detail that quietly serves the object’s overall harmony. Each lamp is produced in limited series, allowing us to maintain full control at every stage, from shaping and finishing to final assembly. The parts are manually adjusted to ensure perfect alignment between the base, arc, and light dome.
We manufacture locally, in ateliers à taille humaine, to preserve craft integrity, reduce our footprint, and guarantee full traceability. Our materials are chosen with care: ash wood, brushed aluminum, and opal acrylic, each selected for its ability to last, age gracefully, and enhance light rather than distort it.
We chose to establish our headquarters in Paris, on the iconic Rue François 1er, for its international aura and deep-rooted appreciation for l’art de vivre and contemporary luxury.
THE ART OF LIGHT, ENGINEERED FOR FOCUS
At Oryst, each lamp is conceived as a functional sculpture, inspired by art minimaliste and architecture contemporaine. The base, made of brushed aluminum, is custom-machined and anodized to combine perfect stability with visual lightness, thanks to its matte, silky finish. The opal acrylic dome softly diffuses a homogeneous light, preserving the full quality of the light spectrum, free of glare, free of noise. Locally crafted, each piece combines black-stained ash wood, layered to reveal its natural grain.

CRAFTED IN LIMITED SERIES
Each Oryst lamp is produced in séries limitées to ensure full control over every stage of the process. From wood cutting to finishing, treatment, and final assembly, each piece requires plusieurs jours de travail. The parts are manually adjusted, ensuring perfect alignment between the base, arc, and dome.
Integrated into every Oryst lamp, our Touchless system allows you to control the light with a simple, contactless gesture. But it goes further: it enables fine variation in intensity, adapting naturally to different moments of the day. By removing friction between intention and interaction, we let technology serve what matters most: comfort, concentration, and a seamless relationship with light.
LONG LIFE, LOW IMPACT
Our materials are chosen to last over time and retain their natural beauty sans traitement artificiel. Unlike disposable objects, our lamps are made to be kept, passed on, and repaired when needed.
La fabrication locale allows us to significantly reduce our logistical footprint and avoid long, opaque production cycles. A service après-vente that is both responsive and human supports each client over the long term, with a lifetime warranty on every model.
